This is usually seen alongside the QA cask in travel retail stores. It’s exclusive to that market but it can be found being sold in some retail markets as well. This goes through a triple maturation of ex-bourbon, quarter casks and ex-PX sherry casks. I quite like the influence PX casks have on heavily peated whisky and the fact that this stuff is bottled at 48% ABV really ups the flavour.
Aged 3 years*. 48% ABV. Matured in ex-bourbon, quarter and PX casks.

This was a nice whisky, I love how the PX influence is there, but it’s still very much a Laphroaig. The only letdown was the mouthfeel was quite weak, I was hoping for something thick and oily. Still this is a travel retail exclusive that is actually worth trying.
